August 15, 2014 - Special Meeting Agenda Item #2 Item Title Authorize the School Board Attorney to retain outside counsel to file a Petition for Writ of Mandamus and any other warranted lawsuit against the Clay County Board of County Commissioners Issue/Rationale Authorize the School Board Attorney to retain outside counsel to file a Petition for Writ of Mandamus and any other warranted lawsuit against the Clay County Board of County Commissioners seeking any remedy allowed by law against said county commission for failing to pass a resolution or otherwise directing the Supervisor of Elections to place the question of the appointment of Superintendent of Schools on the ballot for the November 4, 2014, general election as requested by The School Board of Clay County, Florida, in their Resolution dated July 17, 2014, as required by and in accordance with Florida law.
